Introduction

An unscheduled inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance

Observed Violations
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 13050 - CCLR s.56(1)(c) - A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].
Observation: Licensing noted that the last fire drill recorded was in September 2018. Fire drills are to be practised and recorded monthly, with a lack of recording Licensing is unable to determine that fire drills are being practised with the children in care
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure fire drills are practised and recorded monthly

Comments

At the inspection dated January 17, 2019 there were 10 children and 1 staff present.
At this inspection the above noted contraventions was noted. Please ensure all coded violations are addressed, no written response is requested at this time.

As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
