Observation: Premises appears cluttered/disorganized and clean aprons were being stored in the staff washroom which is not an acceptable location
Corrective Action(s): Clean/tidy premises and remove items that are not needed for the food premises and ensure adequate storage space on shelving for dry goods and clean aprons. Corrected during inspection.

Observation: Doors on display cooler are made of unsealed wood. Unsealed wood is not suitable surface in a food premises as it cannot be cleaned and sanitized effectively
Corrective Action(s): Replace or seal door to ensure they are impervious and capable of being cleaned and sanitized. Correction date: June 16/16

Observation: Cold water tap at back handwash station requires repair. Hot water tap is functioning. Additional handwash station available in premises

Comments

-Hot and cold running water was available. Liquid soap and paper towel was present at handwashing stations and in the staff washroom.
-Walk-in cooler: 4C Display cooler: 4C Freezer: -16C
-Bleach sanitizer was available in spray bottle for sanitizing food contact surfaces. Concentration of sanitizer was very high at the time of the inspection but adjusted to 100ppmCl. Test strips should be obtained to verify concentration.
-Staff were wearing hair nets to protect food from contamination
