Summary of Inspection
At today’s inspection there were 6 children and 2 staff present.
Licensing conducted a full walk through of the whole home
At this inspection no contraventions were identified. No response is required at this time.
As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy was provided to the facility along with this report.
The Risk Assessment includes any non-compliance identified during the routine inspection and a 3 year ‘historical’ review of the facility’s compliance and operation and is used to determine inspection frequency.
The following was discussed:
- Valid CRC/s are available and reviewed expiry dates.
- Active Play promotion and increased outdoor play - discussion around sleeping children
- Hygiene and sanitization practices and communicable disease plan posted - laundering of bedding
- Emergency evacuation plan and the intent of the drill - having hard copy emergency cards available
- Lead in the water results
- Use of the Bright wheel App and accessing document
- Ensuring that all space not used for care provision remains healthy and safe, particularly exits/cubby space
- Extended absence of care provider requirements to Licensing
- Licensing Duty line: #604 587 3936 for emergencies if area Licensing Officer can’t be contacted.
