301 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)] Observation: Inner components and wall of ice machine has heavy residue of mildew like deposit (slimy to touch). Corrective Action(s): Discard ice. Clean and sanitize inside of the ice machine. Violation Score: 5 302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)] Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Observed a wet in-use wiping cloth with no sanitizer residual. In-use wiping cloths are to be kept in sanitizing solution when not in use to prevent micro-organisms from growing. The cloth is removed. Corrective Action(s): Violation Score: 5 401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Both handwashing stations are obstructed. Operator used hand washing sinks to drain foods and wash dishes at the time of inspection. Hand washing sinks are strickly to be used for hand washing only going forward. 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)] Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Observed an open can of food in its original can. Observed multiple food containers with no covers. The operator transferred contents of can food to a food grade container, and covered all food containers. Corrective Action(s): Violation Score: 3 304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)] Observation: Observed number of live cockroaches under the rice cooker. Observed cockroach droppings (resembles coffee ground or black pepper) throughout the facility. Corrective Action(s): Contact your pest control company immediately. Control measures are to be in place as per your pest control company's recommendations (e.g., place sticky trap). Clean and sanitize all surfaces affected by cockroaches. Correct it by: immediately. Violation Score: 15 305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)] Observation: Sanitation issues were noted. Observed standing waters and food scraps throughout the facility. Issues were predominant at/near hard to reach areas (e.g., under the shelves).
