306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Noted some dropped paper product under the dry storage shelving units in the back storage area as well as some build up of dust/dirt around the perimeter of the walls under the dry storage shelves.
Corrective Action(s): Pick up all dropped paper product and do a thorough cleaning under the dry storage shelves. Focus on the perimeter of the walls and the hard to reach areas. Keep all items stored 6 inches off the ground to facilitate cleaning and pest monitoring.

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: Noted some pooling of water on the ground in the produce walk in cooler where the finish of the flooring has come off. This issue was noted on the last routine inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Repair/replace the finish of the flooring of the produce walk in cooler. There should be no pooling/stagnant water in the food premises.

Comments

Good general sanitation. No obvious signs of pest activity noted at time of inspection.
Premises has contract with Orkin pest control which comes in once every two weeks. Follow all recommendations made by pest control technician.
Quats at source and in spray bottles 200ppm. Test strips available.
Hand wash station had soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water.
Lights in the produce processing area had covers.
All coolers 4C or less
All freezers less than -18C
Random check of baby food and infant formula - no expired product noted at time of inspection. Assistant manager said that they check for expired stock every month.
