Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated June 03,2021 there were 2 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. No further action is required by the Licensee or the Licensing Officer. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
This inspection and the risk assessment were written off site and a copy was emailed to the facility

The following education/recommendations were provided:
Licensing discussed securing the garden hose to prevent a tripping hazard to the children Manager stated that it was used this morning and she did not put it away properly. Licensing also suggested to remove 2 glass vases from the outdoor area.

Two of the rooms utilized for daycare space was cluttered and the Manager has agreed to remove some items, children are able to utilize this space.

Manager has a supply of emergency food and water, but has agreed to add more after a discussion was had to have enough for each child for 72 hours.

Manager seemed to misplace emergency cards for the children, but has access to their emergency information digitally and on file.
