Introduction

An unscheduled follow up was conducted to review the contravention noted on routine inpsciotn #WBET-C7JPND dated October 6, 2021.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11190 - CCLR s.16(4)(b) - A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are (b) safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair.
Observation: Landscaping felt and irrigation hoses are exposed and accessible to children. These pose a tripping hazard. Although the manager stated that additional bark mulch had been added to the yard it is difficult to keep these items covered due the slope of some areas of the yard. CCFL also observe an area of fence is missing the bottom board.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that all area of the outdoor playground are in good repair.

Summary of Inspection
At the inspection dated February 17, 2022 were 18 children and four staff present. At this inspection the above noted contravention was identified. The Licensee will take action to bring the facility into compliance and provide a written response to the Licensing Officer. The Licensing Officer will review the response. This report was reviewed with the manager and written off site. A copy of this report will be emailed to the manager. Total time includes office time.
