Observation: Numerous food products (rose syrup, pickles, juice, packaged dry products) past their best before date. Dented canned for sale.
Corrective Action(s): Discard all products that are past their best before date. Discard all dented or bulging cans.

Observation: Lack of liquid soap and paper towel in washroom.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all sinks are equipped are with hot/cold running water, liquid soap and single use towels.

209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation: 1. Leaking chemical bottle stored directly on top of a cardboard box of prepackaged cane sugar. Cardboard box was opened and chemical did not leach into food. Gasoline jerry can stored around food in back storage area.
2. Block of margarine with open packaging.
3. Large bags of dry food products stored directly on the floor.
3. Tongs stored directly in gur container and scoops stored directly in almond container for dispensing.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Chemical bottle and jerry can were re-located. Do not store chemicals near or on top of food to prevent chemical contamination.
2. Margarine was taken off the shelf.
3. Do not store food directly on floor. Food must be covered at all times.
4. Do not store utensils directly in food.
Correct immediately.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Dust, debris and old food observed in back storage area, walk-in coolers, and electrical panel corner in store near the standing freezers require a deep cleaning and sanitizing.
Corrective Action(s): These areas require a deep cleaning and sanitizing. Correct by July 13th, 2022.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: Dairy walk-in cooler registered at 7.4 C. The seals around the customer self-serve doors for dairy walk-in cooler are damaged and do not seal properly.
Corrective Action(s): Operator adjusted temperature setting of dairy walk-in cooler. Ensure it is at 4 C or below at all times.
Replace doors with new seals so that the doors shut properly.

Observation: Numerous bags of bulk dry products stored on site in back storage area. Operator stated these are products are for the warehouse storage.
Corrective Action(s): Do not use this location to store extra products for the warehouse. Do not re-package bulk items on-site.
Correct by June 30, 2022.
