Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

Summary of Inspection
At the inspection dated March 6, 2023 there were 19 children and two staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. As part of this routine inspection, a facility risk assessment tool is completed and a copy is provided. This report was reviewed with the manager and written off site. A copy of this report will be emailed to the manager.
The following were discussed with the manager:
If a child administers their own medication this must be supervised by a staff person and documented in the child's care plan as per Section 53(4)(a) Child Care Licensing Regulation.
Ensuring symptoms and actions staff need to take are available for all children who have allergies and if medication is required, the medication needs to be at the facility.
