HAZARD RATING FOR YOUR FACILITY: Moderate (16-29) Total Score = 24
Critical Hazards: Total Number: 1
303 - Equipment/facilities/hot & cold water for sanitary maintenance not adequate [s. 17(3); s. 4(1)(f)]
Observation: No hot water is available at hand sink or kitchen sink. Water is 35 Celsius.
This was a problem on the last routine inspection as well. Worker noted that she had just filled one compartment of the sink with warm water; this was observed. Your hot water system must be adequate to supply sufficient hot water so that you can fill both of your sinks and operate your dishwasher and still have plenty of hot water for hand washing and all other sanitary needs (such as rinsing your utensils behind the counter as per your sanitation plan.)

Repair or upgrade your hot water system so that you have plenty of hot water for all of your sanitary needs. Submit specs for your hot water supply or other proof of sufficient hot water supply to our office.
Please note that this infraction was also noted on the last routine inspection. It is a critical infraction and must be rectified very quickly. Failure to comply will result in progressive enforcement.

Premise is allowed to remain open at this time because the dishwasher is reaching a sanitizing temperature and there is some hot water available as evidenced by the full sink of warm water.
Corrective Action(s):
Violation Score: 15

Non-Critical Hazards: Total Number: 3
304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Complaint received of mice seen in establishment. Some droppings noted in a few hard-to-reach areas of kitchen and serving area, but no damaged food or packaging is evident.
Clean and monitor, continue trapping. Install door sweeps as noted in #305.
Corrective Action(s):
Violation Score: 3

305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
Observation: Doors to back room and back exit have large gaps underneath and require door sweeps. Install door sweeps to prevent rodent entry.
Corrective Action(s):
Violation Score: 3

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Hard-to-reach areas behind and under equipment require cleaning.
Corrective Action(s):
Violation Score: 3
