Observation: Manager and staff member working on shift did not hold a valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate. Manager's FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate has expired on July 29, 2018.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Ensure the Manager renews their FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate by taking and passing a FOODSAFE Level 1 course or the FOODSAFE Level 1 refresher course; Correct by January 16, 2019 Individuals with expired FOODSAFE Level 1 certificates are eligible to enroll into the FOODSAFE Level 1 refresher course until January 15, 2019.
2. Make sure at least one employee on shift holds a valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate; Correct today.
3. Provide a copy of the valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate of the Operator to the district Environmental Health Officer of Fraser Health (business card was provided).

Front service area:
Permit to Operate was posted in a conspicuous location.
Handsink was supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and paper towels.
Food handlers were washing their hands after handling money.
Sandwich cooler and under-the-counter cooler were at or below 4 degrees C (40 degrees F).
Drinks cooler (with chocolate milk inside it) was at or below 4 degrees C (40 degrees F).
Hot-held food (meatballs and soup) were at or above 60 degrees C (140 degrees F).
*Disposable single-use cups for complimentary water were moved from the lower cabinet below the cash register to a designated dry storage cabinet during the inspection.

Back area:
3-compartment sink was supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and paper towels.
200 ppm QUATS sanitizer was available inside the spray bottle and from the dispenser at the 3-compartment sink.
Walk-in-freezer temperature was satisfactory.
Walk-in-cooler temperature was at or below 4 degrees C (40 degrees F).
No signs of recent pest activity were present at the time of inspection.
Temperature records were being maintained.

Washrooms:
Handsinks were adequately supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and paper towels.
