Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Surface sanitizer for food contact surfaces missing in the front area.
- Staff prepared a spray bottle of QUATS santizer. Test strip indicated the concentration to be 200ppm

Observation: The following equipment requires fixing:
1) Under-the counter prep cooler observed to be turned off. Staff indicated that the cooler is not working. No potentially hazardous foods observed to be stored inside during the time of inspection.
2) Soap dispenser by the three compartment sink observed to be broken and cannot dispense soap properly
Corrective Action(s): 1) Staff has already notified technician to fix the prep cooler today. Cold potentially hazardous foods should not be stored in the prep cooler until unit can maintain temperature of 4C or lower

Comments

General observations:
- Handsink station in front area equipped with paper towel, liquid soap, and hot and cold running water
- QUATS sanitizer from the dispenser measured to be 200ppm
- Three compartment sink with plugs available for dishwashing
- All coolers (walk-in cooler and sandwich cooler) measured to be 4C or lower. All foods observed to be covered and off the floor.
- Walk-in freezer measured to be -18C or less.
- Hot-holding units measured to be 60C or higher
- Temperature logs maintained and available.
- Staff observed to practicing good handwashing practices and putting on gloves before food preparation
- Washroom observed to be in sanitary condition
- Staff presented a valid and current FOODSAFE Level I certificate
