Introduction

An unscheduled follow up inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP). This report was reviewed with the supervisor and written off site. A copy of this report will be emailed to the manager.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19260 - CCLR s.58(2)(b) - The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation: The posted care plan for one child had passed the annual review date. The supervisor stated a new plan had been signed by the family but this could not be located during the inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure a copy of the current care plan is available for the child.

Summary of Inspection
At the inspection dated February 14, 2022 there were 33 children and seven staff present. At this inspection the above noted contravention was identified. The Licensee will take action to bring the facility into compliance and provide a written response to the Licensing Officer. The Licensing Officer will review the response. This report was reviewed with the supervisor and written off site. A copy of this report will be emailed to the manager. Time spent includes office time
