Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Honey oat mix, chips and premium plus crackers had rodent chew marks on them.

Observation: 1) Droppings found on the following surfaces:
-The back of the service counter.
-Underneath tables and along walls.
-In cupboards.
-Around boxes of gloves, cups, utensils etc.
-Underneath the front pop dispenser.
-In empty boxes
-On packages of food

2) Rodent chew marks found on the following food items:
-Premium Plus Crackers (several)
-At least 20 bags of chips, which were found by staff and were going to be thrown out.
-Honey oat mix (3)

3) Two dead mice found in a sticky trap.
Photos of all observed violations taken for documentation.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Clean all droppings as soon as possible
2) All discarded.
Call a pest control company and provide the invoice.
CLOSURE ORDER ISSUED due to pest infestation.

Comments

Closure Order Issued due to a pest infestation. The restaurant may not re-open until all conditions have been met and a re-inspection has taken place.
Pest control and thorough cleaning is needed for a re-opening inspection to be considered.

Note: Coolers were < 4 C, Hand sinks supplied with hot and cold water, soap and paper towels, freezers were < -18 C.
