Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DoLSoP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated March 01, 2023 there were 5 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection the above no contraventions were identified. Actions required by the licensee and actions required the LO included here. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

The following education/recommendations were provided:
· Promoting Active Play in the program
· Temporary Placements
· Active Supervision
· Lead in the Water
· A conversation was had regarding the minor incident log book being under utilized. Licensee mentioned that they did not have any minor incidents. Licensing provided education and encouraged the used of the minor incident log book moving forward
· A conversation was had regarding the addition the the repayment policy to the parent contract. A repayment policy was available however it was not noted in the last page of the contract where all the policies were noted and acknowledged by the parents.
