Routine inspection of home-based hair salon. Hair services only. No eyelash/brow tinting, no shaving. Barbicide (with DIN number) used to provide low level disinfection for combs, brushes etc. Solution appears clean - good. Extra barbicide is available on site. Clippercide (with DIN number) used to provide low level disinfection for clippers and scissors - good. All implements are cleaned and disinfected between clients. Capes and towels are cleaned after each client (new one for each client). Using hot dry to dry towels - on site laundry. Hair washing sink has a vacuum breaker (backflow preventer installed by certified plumber as per operator). Washroom for clients is available adjacent to hair salon room and is used only for the business. Hot/cold water, liquid soap, and paper towels provided at hand washing sink. Notify Fraser Health if there are any changes to operation. Copy of this report to be emailed to operator.
