Code 301 noted on Routine inspection # RHEN-AXNUUA of Apr-09-2018
Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Pitcher rinsers observed dirty and slime matt developing on one or two of these units at the point of connection with the potable water supply. This could be a point of contamination to the rinsing process.
Correction: These units should be disconnected on a regular basis (weekly?) and properly washed rinsed and sanitized to remove any organic sludge build-up - and to be more clean. Ensure the faucet is also cleaned and sanitized including the faucet sieve (unscrew, clean and sanitize). This will be reviewed at next scheduled inspection.
Comments

Discussed quats strips issue with operator. Test strips come with shipment of quats. Verify QT 44 is properly matched with chemical with Ecolab.
General cleaning seems better and the drain in question is better. Slime remains at liquid level, but continue daily maintenance and monitor drain fly activity in this area.
