Comments

A routine inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- Cooler was 4C; freezer was -16C; thermometers present; and temperatures recorded daily.
- High temperature dishwasher was 77C during the rinse cycle as per max/min thermometer.
- Bleach sanitizer in spray bottle was 200ppm.
- Hand sink stocked with liquid soap, paper towels, and running hot and cold water.
- FoodSafe certified staff present.
- Food storage practices done correctly. Foods stored in food grade containers; covered, labeled; date coded; in groups to avoid contamination; and 6" off the floor on shelves.
- No food preparation occurring during inspection. Unable to comment on food handling practices.
- No expired foods in use. FIFO rules being followed.
- Sanitation level is good. No signs of pests.
- Only lunch is prepared for residents by staff. Dinner is prepared off-site at North Shore Culinary School in N. Vancouver and transported hot to the premises every day. Foods immediately placed in preheated chaffing dishes and dispensed to residents. Leftovers are cooled and dated, residents will consume within 3 days or discarded.
