304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Mice droppings are noted on floor under shelving racks (where tote bins are stored), and behind chest freezer. Staff is not sure whether or not a pest control company comes regularly.
Corrective Action(s): Remove droppings, and sanitize areas. Hire a pest control company if no company visits regularly. If there is a pest control company visits regularly, provide the latest report at follow-up inspection.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: Front display cooler is broken, as indicated by staff. Temperature is noted at 27.2oC. A few samosas and one container of butter chicken and rice are noted in cooler, but staff indicated those are for display only.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Fix cooler so that temperature is maintained at 4oC or less at all times.
2. Label any foods that are for display only.

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: Coffee machine is noted at front cashier area, with no handwashing station conveniently located nearby. It was discussed at last inspection that coffee machine to be relocated to the back (next to handwashing station). This set up, along with a new wall added, are new from approved plans.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Food preparation must be done close to a handwashing station nearby. This set up was not approved by Fraser Health Authority. It was written in last report to have coffee machines (2) removed from the front, by July 16, 2022. It is over 4 months from noted date and operator still has one coffee machine at front. Coffee machine is in use at time of visit. Correction Order issued. Coffee machine must be removed from the front by Friday, November 22, 2022 at noon.
2. Adding new wall requires a building permit. Please provide a copy of the building permit of such work being approved.
