Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Common use items are not being cleaned and sanitized at sufficient frequency. Owner stated these items are rinsed after each use but only washed at the end of the day.

Corrective Action(s): Ensure those items used throughout the day are not only rinsed but washed and sanitized in the dishwasher every 2-4 hours or more frequently as necessary.

Observation: Food items stored on floor including open bag of flour and sugar in absorbent paper bags
Bleach stored on floor next to bag of flour and sugar.
Ice bin has plastic door wearing away and plastic powder is on walls of unit.

Corrective Action(s): Ensure more storage. Items need to be stored 15 cm off floor in order to protect against contamination (water), clean underneath, prevent against pest contamination and monitor for pests
Food items are not to be stored with chemical agents.
Clean inside of ice machine unit.

Observation: Paper towels need to be placed in paper towel dispensing units.

Corrective Action(s): It is not acceptable to have paper towels on table tops for use as this means staff must handle the paper towel roll with wet hands. This has the potential to contaminate the paper towels.
Use the wall mount dispensing unit.
