111 - Semi critical items not adequately cleaned and disinfected Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Goggles for IPL service were disinfected using 70% alcohol (intermediate level disinfectant). PREempt CS20 was used to disinfect tweezers and scissors but the contact time is not adequate. Corrective Action(s): Disinfect goggles with a high level disinfectant (ie. PREempt CS20). Ensure items are submerged in PREempt CS20 for 20 minutes as per the manufacturer's instruction. Violation Score: 15

Services provided: waxing, IPL, facials, threading Equipment for manicure/pedicure and hair cutting are present but services are not provided at this time. - Hand washing station is equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels - PREempt CS20 is available for high level disinfection - 70% alcohol is available for intermediate level disinfection - Single-use implements are adequate in supply - Wax pots are clean. Ensure they are covered with lids when not in use. - Goggles are available for clients during IPL service - Laser warning sign posted at entrance to IPL room - No reflective surfaces in IPL room - Sharps container is available for single-use razors - Laundry is done on-site. Ensure highest setting and bleach are used.
