Observation: Rodenticide (blue granules) noted on floor under dishwashing sink. This is unacceptable in a food premises.
Corrective Action(s): Immediately remove this product from the premises and discontinue this practice.

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: Light fixture along hallway/prep area was not working and appears bulbs need to be replaced as well as bulbs missing from one light fixture in dry storage room. Lighting is inadequate in these areas.
Corrective Action(s): Replace missing bulbs or repair/replace fixtures so lighting is sufficient. Ensure replacement bulbs have built in sleeve/shatter protection as no shatterguards are present on fixtures. Correction date: Sept. 30/17

Comments

-General sanitation is satisfactory
-Handsinks supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel
-All coolers were 4C or colder with the exception of white fridge which was 7C. Temperature was adjusted at time of the inspection and it dropped. Continue to monitor to ensure temperature is maintained at 4C. Milk was transferred to walk-in cooler. No other potentially hazardous food present in this cooler.
-Freezers were -9C to -15C
-Hot holding of rice was 66C
-Wiping cloths stored in bleach sanitizer solution (200ppm chlorine)
-High temperature dishwasher met sanitizing temperature requirement. Final rinse was 75C as measured at dish surface with min/max thermometer.
-No pest activity noted at the time of the inspection. No droppings noted in areas identified in previous routine inspection. Continue to monitor and take action by retaining a qualified Pest Control technician to provide service.
