HAZARD RATING FOR YOUR FACILITY: Low (≤15) Total Score = 8
Critical Hazards: Total Number: 1
401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
The back hand washing sink was blocked by empty cardboard boxes, brooms, and dust pan. An inaccessible hand sink doesn't allow or encourage staff to wash their hands.
Corrective Action(s):
Relocate these items and ensure no items are placed in front or in the hand sink, and retrain all staff to ensure it doesn't occur in the future. Staff relocated the items to another area during the inspection, and the hand sink was accessible for use.
Violation Score: 5

Non-Critical Hazards: Total Number: 1
308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation:
1) The chemical dispenser for the Quats sanitizer is leaking when filling up the sink. Saran wrap and tap was placed on the tube/valve to stop the leak. This is not acceptable as it is not durable, cleanable or of the correct materials.

2) The front bar cooler has a damaged door seal/gasket. The door is unable to close tightly and the seal/gasket can't be cleaned properly due to the damage.

3) The back hand sink drain pipe is leaking and there is accumulated water and food debris on the pipe and the floor. This water and food will attract pests.
Corrective Action(s):
1) Repair or replace the broken tube/valve with a new one so the Quats sanitizer doesn't leak when filling the sink. Manager explained that a person will be arriving next week to complete the repairs

2) Replace the damaged door seal/gasket with a new one.

3) Repair or replace the leaking drain pipe, and clean the food and water from the floor and pipe.
