Observation: Evidence of mice infestations noted. Droppings noted under and on the pellets and on some boxes.
Corrective Action(s): Step up the pest control program. Currently pest control service is provided about once a monthly. The pest control report noted many of their traps could not be checked because had been misplaced. Please work with the pest company. Do not remove the traps. Have someone accompany the technician during the inspection of the premises.

Observation: Loading bay and person door at the back were left open when not loading. Warehouse is disorganized.
Corrective Action(s): Keep the doors close. Follow the recommendations of the pest control service regarding pest proofing (e.g., replacing seals). Remove the droppings, Remove food spills and splatters on the floor. Dispose of damaged product and litter. Establish an area for storage of damaged goods.

Comments

The warehouse is supplementing the service provided by the pest control company. Many snap traps and glue boards have been placed by the owner throughout the warehouse. No rodents were observed caught in the traps. However, there is evidence of a moderate to heavy mice infestations based on the amount of droppings noted. Improve on sanitation practice and work with your pest control company to control the infestation.

Mold is growing on the shelving unit inside the walk-in cooler. Remove mold and clean with sanitizer.

Temperature of refrigeration and freezer units are satisfactory. Temperature checks are conducted daily.

Soap and paper towels in dispensers are available in the washroom.
