Routine Inspection conducted today due to the premise finishing renovations.
Operator informed that the renovations have been made in the front door, dining area, front servicing area, kitchen area, and washrooms.
The following was observed after the renovations:
Front door has been replaced with double glass doors.
Dining Area
Carpet in the dining area replaced.
Customer washroom tiles and countertops replaced with non-porous, easily cleanable material. Handwashing sink well equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels.
Waiting area chairs are redone with vinyl material of non-porous, easily cleanable material.
Lighting fixtures replaced with LED and re-painted.
Front Servicing Area
Countertops observed to be marble. Cupboards are of finished wood.
Glasswasher measured at 100ppm chlorine. Handwashing sink is well equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels.
Kitchen Area
Fish tank area have been redone. Floors in the fish tank area observed to be finished with tiles. 2 filtration systems for salt water fish/crab/lobster. 1 filtration system for fresh water fish. Fish tanks in sanitary conditions. Operator informed no filter feeders will be in the tanks.
Deep fryer replaced with new stainless steel fryers.
Kitchen tiles re-grouted and sealed. 3 missing tiles near the Wonton Area replaced with non-slip material.
Drop ceillings replaced with easily cleanable, non-porous material.
Walk-in freezer flooring replaced with metal that is easily cleanable and non-porous.
Walls near the staff washroom re-painted and replace with metal. Staff washroom re-done (plumbing and countertops). Staff washroom well equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels.
Resurfacing of cutting board observed.
Exhaust hood in the kitchen area last serviced on March 2022. Next service July 13, 2022. Exhaust hood vents observed to be worn. Replace exhaust hood vents above deep fryer unit. Corrected by April 24, 2022.
Kitchen dishwasher measured at 79.6C final rinse temperature. Prep coolers and stand-up coolers measured at 4C or lower. Food in the stand-up freezers observed to be frozen. Food in the walk-in cooler measured at 4C or lower.
Chlorine sanitizer buckets measured between 100-200ppm.
No signs of pests observed.
Premise is permitted to operate after renovations.
