Summary of Inspection:
During today’s inspection, Licensing was joined by 76 children, 17staff, 1 practicum student, 1 volunteer, one support staff, the manager and the licensee. At this inspection, the above noted contravention was identified and corrected during the inspection therfore no further action is required at this time.
As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy was provided to the facility along with this report.
The Risk Assessment includes any non-compliance identified during the routine inspection and a 3 year ‘historical’ review of the facility’s compliance and operation and is used to determine inspection frequency.
The following education/recommendations were provided:
· Licensing discussed the food service plan for informing parents
· Outdoor checklist including review of toys and equipment for damages.
· Wall damage in two area had been covered temporarily in one classroom. The licensee said they have a plan to solve this issue long term.
· Fire extinguishers throughout the facility were serviced recently, with exception to one, which the licensee believes must have been missed at the time of servicing. Licensee will follow up with the company to have this completed.
· Reviewed an discussed a possible exemption request for the facility, the licensee will provide more information in an exemption application for review by licensing.
