Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DoLSoP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.
Comments

At the inspection dated March 06, 2023 there were 19 children and 2 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. Actions required by the licensee and actions required the LO included here. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

The following education/recommendations were provided:
· Promoting Active Play in the program
· Temporary Placements
· Active Supervision
· Lead in the Water
· During the routine inspection it was noticed that the water temperature measured 53.5 degrees Celsius. It was observed that the staff were supervising the children in the bathroom during the hand washing routine. A conversation was had regarding the lowering of the water temperature to be at the 49 degrees Celsius as per CCLR Section 47.
