An unscheduled follow up inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSOP).
Evidence for this report was based on the Licensing Officer’s observations, review of the facility records and information provided by the facility staff at the time of inspection. The following previously identified violations were now found to be in compliance:
10060-CCLR 11(3) Registration documents do not refer to Preschool program as not licensed for this program.
12430-CCLR 56(1)(b) Two staff files were reviewed and reference checks were complete for one staff but not for the other (see violation section below)
12440-CCLR 60(2) Criminal record checks were current for one staff and consent was on file for having the result shared from the previous check for the other staff. A copy from the previous employer was on file.
19070-CCLR 57(2)(a) Random sample of 6 registration files were reviewed and 21 emergency consent were reviewed and all were complete, including immunization records and care card numbers.
19080-CCLR 57(2)(b) Enrollment date is complete for all registration records reviewed.
19160- CCLR57(2)(i) All (21) emergency consent cards included a photo for Group Child Care (30 mos to school age) Program.
19190-CCLR 57(3)(a) All emergency consent cards were complete for the Group Child Care (30 mos to school age) Program
At time of this inspection the children were observed engaged in a Thanksgiving coloring activity, singing, and going outside. Staff were observed interacting with the children. There were 2 ECE qualified staff with 10 children in care. The areas reviewed were found to be in compliance with the exception of that noted below:
