Introduction

An unscheduled inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance

Observed Violations

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 13050 - CCLR s.56(1)(c) - A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]. Observation: Licensee states that fire drills have not been practised or recorded at this time Corrective Action(s): Please ensure fire drills are practised and recorded monthly Date to be Corrected: 31mar21 RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19070 - CCLR s.57(2)(a) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status. Observation: 3 individual children's information is noted on one registration form making it difficult to determine if all required documention for each child is current and available. Corrective Action(s): Please ensure each registered child has an individual registration form. Date to be Corrected: 12mar2021

Comments

At the inspection dated March 8, 2021 there were 4 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified, please ensure coded violations have been suitably addressed, no further follow up is required at this time. The contents of this inspection were discussed on-site, however the completion of the Facility Inspection Report, and corresponding Risk Assessment Tool were completed off-site (time spent .50 hours) and were sent to the Licensee/Manager via email. No signatures were captured at today's inspection.
