Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DoLSoP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19070 - CCLR s.57(2)(a) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.
Observation: Review of children's files indicated gender of children not captured.
Corrective Action(s): please ensure gender is documented on each child's registration form.

Comments

At the inspection dated July 22, 2021 there were 3 children in the care of the Licensee. At this inspection the above noted contravention was identified. Written response to include a plan of supervision due to relocation of the nap area to the upper floor of the home. Room inspected, no identified hazards. Floor plans located on the file, 1 copy forwarded by email to the licensee. Please make changes documenting space designated as the nap area and return to Licensing. Once received stamped copies will be provided to you by mail. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. Report completed off site therefore signatures were not obtained. Business Card provided.
