Follow Up to "Critical" Violations Noted on Previous Inspections (if applicable)

Code 401 noted on Routine inspection # ABAI-BBBMUW of Apr-17-2019 Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] Observation: No soap or paper towel available in the back room. Warewashing is done in this area and staff need to be able to wash their hands between handling 'dirty' and 'clean' food equipment. It was noted on the previous inspection report that a soap and paper towel is to be installed at the three compartment sink and that going forward this will be inspected as a hand wash station. Correction: Have soap and paper towel set up at the three compartment sink to accommodate staff hand washing between handling 'dirty' and 'clean' food equipment. A follow up inspection will be done in one week unless operator contacts the district inspector to request an extension in order to have this completed.

Comments

Soap in pump style dispenser and paper towel was placed at the three compartment sink at time of inspection. Store manager has said the district manager approved the soap and paper towel to be installed but it will take some time, so until then the store has purchased and placed their own at the sink. This is acceptable in the interim until the permanent soap and paper towel holder are obtained. Operator to take and send a picture once the final product has been installed. Store manager is estimating another week or so.
