Observation: Cardamom in a cardboard box with scoop inside the box and gur on the floor - both available for self-dispensing near the front cash register area.
Turmeric available for self-dispensing in the back.
Corrective Action(s): Cardamom and gur were removed. Operator to remove turmeric container. Bulk-dispensing of any product is not allowed on-site.
Remove all scoops used for bulk-dispensing. This is a repeat violation.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: The gaskets on the customer self-serve doors for dairy walk-in cooler are damaged and doors do not seal properly.
Corrective Action(s): Replace gaskets immediately so that doors seal properly.
This is a repeat violation.

Observation: Lack of liquid soap and paper towel in washroom.
Correction: Ensure all sinks are equipped are with hot/cold running water, liquid soap and single use towels.
Correct immediately.

Follow-up to inspection report PKUR-CFNSYP.

Washroom sink has been equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and single use towels.
Bulk bags have been removed from the back storage area.
Walk-in cooler - addition of shelves that are 6 inches off the floor is in the progress - good.
Chipping of paint on walk-in cooler ceiling needs to be addressed.
Continue cleaning the facility and remove excess product and equipment that is not for this store.
Shelves to be installed in back storage area - ensure addition of shelves does not hinder the ability to clean behind and underneath equipment.

Note: a few products past their best before date seen on the shelves. Ensure proper stock rotation is carried out and all products past their best before date or expiration date are removed.
