During the follow-up inspection, Licensing observed the following:
- The name of the manager and the facility licence were displayed
- Staff certificates were prominently displayed in the facility
- Wall socket plug covers were all in place in the nap room located in the main floor
- Wires of electronic devices were no longer within reach of children
- The felt board with a metal frame was stored in a safe place and can no longer potentially fall on children
- For the health and safety of children, the door of the cleaning supplies room on the main floor was kept close
During the inspection, the manager communicated to Licensing that a plan is in place to address the rust on the small metal door attached to the wall and peeling paint located in the outdoor play area, which Licensing identified to be a contravention during the last inspection. It was identified today that this item still needs to be repaired. The manager stated that a consultation with the repair company was completed and due to the weather, the repair process will take about 2-3 months.
A COVID-19 Risk Screening was also completed before starting the inspection.
A business card was also provided.
The following was discussed with the manager:
- The facility manager will communicate and update Licensing in regards to the progress of the repairs
- BCCDC guidelines
Licensing would like to thank the facility for their time with today's follow-up inspection. |
